NycStormChaser
Yeah some of the models have not been to stellar lately. Some areas are going to pick up quite a bit of rain today. Agreed about the models. I'm sure south east PA and south jersey will also do well today with storms. They have been very active the past few weeks. bluewave
This looks more like a Florida convective cloud streets pattern. Dewpoints in the 75-80 degree range will do it.

Heavy rain/flash flooding being the primary threat.

psv88
88/77/99. Disgusting. the area center island I think has the highest heat index generally. Close enough to the shore to get the dews, yet far enough to avoid sea breeze until later on. Probably a stretch along the NJ shore in the same boat. gravitylover
Around 11 this morning all of a sudden the temp jumped and the dews shot up. We popped 90 and by 11:30 it was storming. I didn't see any lightning but there was plenty of rolling thunder and a short burst of fairly heavy rain. It has gotten sunny again here but just south of me it's pretty dark and still rumbling. Yeah, I love sitting outdoors on a warm summer evening but the mosquitoes have made that impossible. Think I’ll be getting a citronella plant. 86/80/101. Bayou conditions.
