Indystorm
SPC having marginal or slight risk currently over much of the plains region. Post your thoughts and observations here.
nrgjeff
Slight Monday through Wednesday. Looks like some 2% and 5% chasing, a forecaster's market for sure. This time of year the right target selection can be very rewarding. Too bad I'm not in the field. Today (Monday) a surface boundary may be lining up with Raton Mesa. I tend to like it when geography and meteorology line up. Otherwise farther north in upslope flow both the DCVZ (Palmer Divide) and Cheyenne Ridge are possibilities. Chinook
A tornado was reported north of Goodland shortly after this outflow boundary intersection existed next to this storm's updraft.

raindancewx
Snowing again in New Mexico above 10,000 feet in the northern mountains. Usually a strong indicator for storms in the Plains in Spring.
MNstorms
NWS perhaps under predicted this system in Minnesota. 84mph and softball size hail was not expect but happened. Strong enough to knock down power poles. Some pictures from Twitter: I even had some rotation above me. Weirdly it wasn't even a wall cloud.

Chinook
A very large long-lived supercell developed near Goodland and Colby, KS. There have been 3 preliminary tornado reports. The best delta-V I could find is 139 kt near Winona.

Calderon
71mph (62kts) max gust at Love Field (KDAL) which also suffered a total power failure because of the storms. 1 confirmed fatality so far from the tower crane that snapped and collapsed in Old East Dallas, just NE of downtown. KPMG Plaza suffered numerous broken windows from falling/flying debris from the adjacent Hall Arts Residences that's under construction in the Arts District. Countless large trees, some over 100 years old, toppled in the Prestwood/Preston Hollow area of northern Dallas.
It's Always Sunny
Pretty sure I saw the crane when I was in that area yesterday. Also a billboard toppled over on a gas station just by Love Field. It was nasty here. Going to check PWS when I get home and see what it recorded but it tends to undervalue due to nearby trees, houses, etc. Some people at work who drove through it thought it could've been a tornado but it's easy to confuse when you have wind blowing rain at your windshield at 70+mph. nrgjeff
Trial lawyers chasing that ambulance. Perhaps a lawsuit is in order though. 15 hours ago, Calderon said: 1 confirmed fatality so far from the tower crane that snapped and collapsed in Old East Dallas, just NE of downtown.
