Windspeed
Broad rotation / meso may be trying to form on that DeSoto cell heading towards downtown Dallas. Also a meso tightening near the Heath cell east of Dallas. Other than that, most of the circulations are weak atm.

hlcater
Looks like the Linwood tornado is going to get a prelim EF4 rating. Heard something internally that the final windspeed is still up for debate and that Tim Marshall and other engineers were being consulted for portions of the EAX survey path. Probably why there's no DI points in their CWA yet.

SPC has 442 through 11am CDT 5/28 on there STAMTS. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/torn/STAMTS.txt and there are so far 27 unfiltered prelim reports from 5/28, so that's 469. I just counted the reports from every single day. I suppose the most important value, is the number of confirmed tornadoes. My best resource here is Wikipedia, which says 294. aggiegeog
NWS has tagged Canton tornado as a PDS. It is multi vortex. As did the 2017 tornado this is Canton Trade Days weekend so numerous people likely already in town staying in trailers.

Windspeed
Donut hole moving right over Canton. The couplet looks broader, perhaps weaker than before on velocity, however, unsure if due to distance moving away from radar or circulation of a large tornado. Windspeed
Based on this video and the report above, it appears the tornado did weaken and rope out as it moved into Canton proper. Probably cycled as the couplet seemed to reintensify NE of the city. If so, they are fortunate, as it clearly looked intense in the earlier video. Still likely caused damage as there were high winds and RFD on the right side of the meso that clearly moved through the area based on early photos, but hopefully the folks at the trade event took shelter.
