Definitely looks like the instability/shear balance is off
Santa Clause
Cap/shear really going to wreak havoc on another pds high percentage watch. Further east remains to be seen, but def high end potential.

Chinook
5/23 - (Thursday) once again possible mixed-mode storm (supercells and multicells) may exist near and east of this stationary front, stretching from Wichita to the Texas Panhandle. Models show high STP and favorable environments for tornadoes. The GFS has this boundary a little more to the northwest.

jojo762
Supercell near Okemah, OK is clearly the most impressive right now... storms forming near/north of Tulsa will *definitely* be worth watching.

WhiteoutWX
So I guess oddly we are right back where we thought we would be 6 hours ago. Storms would struggle south of 40 and west of 35 and the greatest tornado threat would be north and east of OKC. The cap break at 2 pm turned out to be a fake out.

I thought that was odd. Yeah you can’t do that. Sometimes if you have a great view of the very bottom of the base you can gauge if it’s weak or strong based on how fast it’s rotating but I believe a few years ago there was a 1/8th mile wide EF5 in Manitoba
