The Euro ops goes to October 4th and yes most of next week is a torch. The eps goes out to October 9th and not as torchy towards the end of its run. Gfs definitely cools us down in the long range. canderson
To date, this September is the 4th warmest on record in Harrisburg, per CTP. Will make a run at number one with it hitting close to 90 again this weekend.

pawatch
I hate to say it but...I'm ready for a little rain. River is getting awful low. Some leaves starting to turn up this way.

Some leaves starting to turn up this way. Looking over ensembles, a week from today looks to be starting into a cooler regime, as 2m air temps have blues starting to show up w/ some gusto. Also seems to be showing some chances for appreciable precip into second week of Oct. If verified, looks like some nice fall weather coming up once we get to latter part of next week. Might have to dust off of my model watching websites. :). Nut

Itstrainingtime
Didn't quite make it to .1" of rain yesterday. Radar looked better than ground reality around here. @sauss06 You okay? Haven't seen you post in a while. I hope all is well.
Bubbler86
Well a drought has been officially declared for a small, far south east portion of this forum. I was so used to everyone saying how wet it was I wonder the last time an official drought has been in place? Next map comes out in a week and I am guessing much of the LSV will officially be in a drought.

That's one thing that seems to be missing during the winter. I remember back when I was younger there were arctic fronts where it would go from 40 to 10 in a matter of hours. We don't seem to get those kind of temperature swings any longer.

Blizzard of 93
I wish that I was in Montana today for that early historic snowstorm! Our time is approaching soon. October is almost here! I'm weird like this, but I'm happy that it's getting dark earlier and earlier. Can't get a big dump of snow until we're dark around dinner time. TheDreamTraveler
I had the most amazing lightning show on saturday. I was right on the edge of one of the storms and you could see these crazy lightning strikes all over the clouds right next to a clear blue sky. It was stunning. The lightning was going off 5-6 times per second.

canderson
Harrisburg should break an all-time high tomorrow, then the weekend will be nice and cool, then starting early next week then ext 10 or so days will all be solidly above average temps. We're not getting a fall this year, except for a few days scattered around.
