TugHillMatt
Hey, everybody! Just moved into our temporary place between Baldwinsville and Phoenix this week. Maybe we will find a house within the next year that fits our needs/interests in the area. P.S. The Bville YMCA is awesome! Looking forward to chatting weather with you all from my new location. I think last winter prepared me for what it's like to be "riding the edge" of the LO snow bands. Maybe we'll find our home between Bville and Fulton.
cny rider
Glorious summer weather. Highs in the upper 70's......lows in the 50's at night. So glad we live here!
wolfie09
There is high confidence that we will experience a gradual cooling trend during this period...as a regime featuring above normal temperatures will give way to refreshingly cooler than normal weather by the weekend. The cause? While a persistent ridge will remain in place over the western conus...the change to cooler weather will come as a result of stacked storm system that will drift from the western shores of Hudson Bay to the eastern shores/far northern Quebec. This will open the door for cooler Canadian air to push south into our region for the weekend...and likely beyond this forecast package into the new work week
wolfie09
While the airmass will not be uncomfortably cool...it will be cool enough to establish some instability over the lakes...and that could lead to some nuisance lake effect rain showers and even some waterspouts. Yes...Lake Effect. Its getting to be that time of year.

Going to feel like the beginning of football season.. Im with Wolfie! Im certain my wife is part amphibian as she's in her glory at 90 degree weather and im melting like ice cream on a hot plate. It has been perfect weather the past 3 or 4 days with temps in the upper 70's to low 80's and nighttime lows in the mid to upper 50's. After our next 7 to 10 days I do foresee another warm up but at that time were heading into the second half of August and days ate already getting shorter. Did I see the chance for LER by the way???
Buffalo Bumble
Yeah, lakes probably close to their peak temps now. Erie is a toasty 75 deg, Ontario not far behind at 74.

DeltaT13
It's starting to feel like it will never rain again in KROC. The last truly good soaker we got was on July 5th and 6th, Since then we have had less than an inch of rain total, so basically an entire month without a soaking rainfall. It's like the god damn Sahara out there! The Lake Erie pacman looks to devour everything again today.

Buffalo Bumble
Lake shadow has been stout in my area the last 6 weeks. Pretty amazing at times actually watching the radar and seeing how L Erie both energizes (lake breeze boundaries) and deflects (shadow) rain and thunderstorms.

I'll see what the rain gauge has in it when I get home. Still looked like dry under some of the bigger trees though so it certainly wasnt much.
