Pretty wild for mid May, but it snowed here on Mother's Day in 2017. I wasn't living up here yet, but there were reports of 2-3" of snow that day around here with 8-9" up on the summit of Mt. Snow. I bet it's more normal than it seems...at least 1 in 5 years if not less. Even at 1,500ft up in Stowe that seems reasonable for a whitening of May snow. Torch Tiger
The good news is that after this anomalous nasty stretch of cold rain we all dread, we're headed back into torch territory next week and maybe, a few strong/severe storms around the 22nd-23rd.

wxeyeNH
Hum, starting to get a bit concerned about Monday night/Tuesdays system. An inch of glop is fine. 6" of heavy wet snow with many trees leafing out is not. GFS/NAM/EURO spitting out 4-6" totals for me. If this holds then tomorrow perhaps is a day to make sure the generator is working.
