Don't confuse correlation with causation.  Different animals.

Just the same, I doubt there's much correlation beyond the immediate effects (that's why I said 36 hours, but that was pretty arbitrary).

That's a lot of rain.  Looks like 7.49" here, per BOX, though I'm not sure if that monthly report includes what may have fallen after midnight.
