Looks like Pittsboro was the big winner (so far) per CoCoRaHS .... 4.17" We were coming home from siler city on 64 and the amount of runoff just west of Raleigh was bad. Lots of flooding and it made the drive pretty miserable. Saw lots of small creeks out of their banks and I'm assuming it was nuese but a larger body was a whitewater but mostly red from the clay runoff. SharonA
South Forsyth County just north of Alpharetta - the first "real rain" just started, accompanied by a couple thunder rumbles. Until the current cell started to move in, the morning was simply a series of wind gusts and the occasional intermittent splattering or drizzle of rain. There was enough wind to blow the remaining flowers off the trees. My little pineapple sage purchases needed to be transplanted ASAP. They are loving the weather we've had this last week and exploding out of their tiny pots.

Solak
Almost rained a few minutes ago. Now we'll wait and see what the jumbled mess of showers and storms with the front can conjure up overnight. RAH is talking about a possible frost advisory for Monday night!!! Peaked out today at 81/68.
calculus1
0.97 inch of rainfall so far today. Looks like redevelopment of storms to my South and west, so we might not be done yet.Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
FallsLake
Man it is a soupy day. Luckily the sun didn't come out or it would have got hot. But, big changes are coming during the next 24 hours. From RAH: Excellent radiational cooling will result Mon night with the center of the incoming, strengthening high forecast to be directly overhead at 12Z Tue. And skies will be clear, aside from perhaps some increase in thin cirrus possible around daybreak. Forecast low level thickness values in the 1335-1345 meter range favors with excellent radiational cooling potential favors temperatures in the mid 30s to around 40 degrees, down a category or two from previous forecasts and very similar to the preferred MET and EC statistical guidance. Some of the colder EC ensemble solutions even support a light freeze at the typically colder sites. A Frost Advisory will need to be considered later tonight and/or Mon.
