I wonder if there would be anyone willing to help me on an intellectual quest of sorts.

I am an author and am currently researching some specific aspects of weather for an upcoming story. I would like to start a thread on this forum where I can participate in some theoretical discussions with those knowledgeable in the science of weather.  I have gained some understanding on the subject but would love to draw on the wisdom of others.

In a fictional account, the laws of physics can be easily bent or broken, but I would love experiment with some existing dynamics of weather to make it as realistic a story as possible.
