HRRR seems to be on a downward trend with the early evening development in the area though. That was my reasoning earlier for central/southern LOT cwa potentially being favored a bit... it was assuming vigorous (re)development along the warm front from around now through the next few hours but that is looking iffy. Wondering if northern MO will be put under a tornado watch for storms approaching from KC or for development farther east. so I went just down the road with a good view...as soon as it started going up...nice anvil moving in from the SW...I turned all phones and internet off to go "blind" thinking it would blowup. it got closer and closer..but there was a problem...no lightning or even thunder.....no mammatus clouds in the anvil... I got a few sprinkles on the wind shield form the dying anvil...juts got home and checked the radar...looked decent in Fulton county but POOF confirmed with that cell..but storms to my NW .. cyclone77
Some nice towers started going up a little east of here, so I jumped in the vehicle and went after them hoping they'd go. Ended up being a waste of time, as they crapped the bed pretty quickly.

Indystorm
..Lower Missouri Valley into Upper Midwest... Across northeastern Missouri into the vicinity of a warm frontal zone across parts of eastern Iowa and northern Illinois, it appears that an area of enhanced forcing (associated with a convectively generated or enhanced mid-level cyclonic vorticity center now developing northeast of the Kansas City area) may still support an upscale growing convective system later this evening into the overnight hours. This may be accompanied by another swath of strong to severe wind gusts.
