I am thinking of getting an automatic starter for next winter. Luckily it was not a thick frost and it scrapped off relatively easy. There is also this spray stuff I want to get which I hear works well at preventing frost. Stop the wipers half way up the windshield and place some plastic on the windshield so the wipers hold it in place and you wont have frost, You have to get creative........ wxeyeNH
Bluebirds arrived this AM. Just saw 3. We put up bluebird nests several years ago and have nesting birds. Seemed to have really increased the population in the apple orchards. Don't know if these birds are just passing through northbound or are birds that come back here. Can't get the houses up till snowmelt and ground thaws. Maybe early next week. I'll ignore the GFS that shows a few inches of snow later this weekend. I do have this windshield cover actually that my aunt bought me for Christmas. I used it that one Tuesday storm we had where we were going from snow to ice and it worked well. It's just a pain though b/c then you have to put it on and then take it off.

The GFS has gone back and forth with this system but I think this is the closest run over the past several days. Maybe if the Euro comes on board I'll start watching it more closely. tamarack
Deer on the move this morning - had to stop for 2 different groups (10 critters total) on beech Hill Road in Mercer. Looked nice and plump even though this is often starvation time in a long snowy winter. Lots of water in the Maine pack, except for the Penobscot watershed which was rated as near average in the latest snow survey. St. John is top 10% and Kennebec top quartile. All depends on whether we synchronize the big melt with a big rain. St. John did it 11 years ago, Kennebec in 1987.

STILL N OF PIKE
Chris Sale only Ace I kno who has to dial it back in April . Should be a large scooter caution flag in general for a healthy pitcher it’s obvious to me they don’t kno quite how to manage a guys arm who annually has a 5 month arm in a 7 month season. You wonder as he ages when it goes to a 4 month arm or less

CoastalWx
I am surprised how many rip and read forecasts are going out tomorrow, esp near and north of pike. It looks pretty cool overall.
