Didn’t they just have a huge avalanche at night recently?

Yeah the whole bowl ripped out a couple weeks ago.

This one was one drainage over from Tux.

Looks like the former poster here from CT named Chris M had video of the DART helicopter taking off while he was at Wildcat.

On another note... it was a beautiful cold morning.  Looked like January with the freezing rain ice and rime on the trees from the past event.

Took a brief walk with my morning coffee at work and was treated to this view.

All this is coming to a river near you soon.  Dr Dews will be standing by to watch the snow float through SNE.

Sometimes we hit the spot, but the Rt 2 snow shield is often quite effective.  :o

Another notable cold afternoon spoiled by the previous evening - never got past 27 yesterday daylight, but was 36 at obs time the previous evening.  Another 0.2" overnight (plus 0.03" in fzdz) for 3.7" total.

What I want to do is map each snowfall event for several years, forecast vs. obs and from that generate a bias map. ALY has done this already, and can see the spots they forecast too much or too little snow.

Ideally you could then stratify it between flow regime (e.g. SWFEs only), and create bias maps based on event type. Those could then be used back in the forecast process.
