15z HRRR keeps everything north and west of the cities. Doesn't get much at all into the metro corridor.

Appears to be a boundary just south of the Potomac running across DC and then into Maryland. Visible nicely on satellite and even a bit on radar too.

If you look at the visible loop, there appears to be some low level boundary sitting NW -> SE on the VA side of the Potomac River.

Nice warned storm here. Dime size hail. First time I've seen hail at my house in a couple years, I think.

Constant roll of thunder for the last half hour.

Storm formed almost on top of me.

Question will become whether it will maintain strength as it crosses the boundary into the more stable airmass north of the front.

or near Millwood Pike, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported quarter size hail in
         Stephens City.

IMPACT...Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. Hail is large
         enough to dent and damage vehicles. Some hail damage to
         roofs, siding, and windows is possible.
