...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MADISON...EASTERN ORANGE...SOUTHEASTERN CULPEPER AND
CENTRAL SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTIES...

At 217 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Culpeper to 9 miles north of Louisa, moving east
at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Culpeper, Spotsylvania, Mine Run, Elkwood, Stevensburg, Brandy
Station, Verdiersville, Everona, Locust Grove, Flat Run, Thornhill,
Nasons, Winston, Mitchells, Glenora, Dunavant, Lake Of The Woods,

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Montgomery County in central Maryland...
  North central Fairfax County in northern Virginia...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 239 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Great Falls, or over Lowes Island, moving
  northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown,
           flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur.
           Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is
           likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Potomac and North Potomac around 250 PM EDT.
  Rockville, Gaithersburg and North Bethesda around 255 PM EDT.
  Montgomery Village, Redland, North Kensington and Rossmoor around
  300 PM EDT.
  Olney, Aspen Hill, Colesville and Wheaton-Glenmont around 305 PM
  EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
