If it goes to sleet for awhile it still would change back to snow. I'd be very surprised if we don't get at least the low end of the NWS 5 to 8 inch forecast. BTW it's still all snow here. BxWeatherwatcher
Living in the hilly areas of the bx really does have a benefit, I've literally picked up a inch and a quarter in 55 mins and its ripping out r.n..we might in the sweet spot when it comes to accumulation up here. 2.1 inches so far 32f.. Eduardo
Have just under an inch on the grass and car tops here in SW Suffolk with mostly sleet coming down and melting on the pavement. Hopefully, the rates pick up so that we can appreciably accumulate!

Gravity Wave
All snow here still, moderate rates and good flake size but virtually no accumulation anywhere. The back edge is already in Allentown and I don't see how steady precip will last after 2:00.

jm1220
Mod to heavy snow here, couple of inches on the ground. I was concerned about sleet especially in the last few hours since the sleet line made fast north progress. Now however with the heavy precip it's stopped for now and may even sink south. HRRR has also gotten a little colder. So it's possible that the sleet won't advance much further than it already has and the lighter precip before allowed the sleet to race north like it did. We're in good shape to add on a couple more inches to get to 6 or 7.
