Stormpc
1.21 total at 1pm. Good soaker. Nice weekend to lay the fertilizer and preventer. I'm a little surprised things haven't really bloomed or taken off. It's already late March. It's not like it's been terribly cold.

poolz1
1.62” so far with the pivot occurring basically overhead. Creek is still contained within its banks but sounds like a freight train. Another 6” of water rise and it will start to flood the lowest areas of the yard.

poolz1
Nice! Critical Thicknesses look ok from just west of Charles town and near HGR . Definitely advancing eastward. Probably 60/40 rain/snow mix now. I’m sure areas around me that have a few hundred feet in elevation are getting pasted.

"Surprise" being the operative word. Monday evening, I checked the NOAA forecast discussion page and all they were saying was there was a "moisture starved" frontal system moving through on Thursday with at most 1/4" of rain. I wake up Tuesday and just like magic, there's a massive coastal storm brewing, almost guaranteeing 2-3" of rain for the Mid- Atlantic. I was just shaking my head. What's the point in even following media forecasts? The models are just a box of chocolates with the mets doing the unwrapping every day. A solid 2" here in Edgewood. Just when it was starting to dry out....on and on it goes.
WVclimo
1.63” of rain here in 12 hours. All the places that have repeatedly been flooding the past year are flooded again. We had just, finally, lost the new pond in our backyard for the first time in months yesterday. It’s all the way back.
