Jebman
Mid Atlantic will enjoy an extended winter with plenty of late season snow in March 2019. Mappy/PSU Land will get blizzarded in April. Remember, you heard it first from Jeb.
MN Transplant
8.79” on the year, since evidently we are going to need to track this again. At least until a dry, hot three week stretch mid-summer that kills my lawn.

Will probably get that in may when I need it to rain.April will be rocking with rain with the - NAO finally kicks in ha It’s been uncanny the last several years. Luckily for out here, we can always count on the dryline to lend us some severe risks and hellaciously dry weather .

I fear not having a lawn in the spring since there's still a layer of water between my grass roots and the soil

Just doesn't work well in the woods- soil gets too dry in summer- grass burns up, then there is the moss, moles, etc. Its a disaster lol. About to put in a fire pit with stone/wood/mulch surround, sprinkled with small plants.

Way too much shade and oaks to have much grass, moss does super in the shade and north facing areas though..... About every three years I basically start over. It looks good first year and then the downfall begins lol. BTW, 15.2/4.0 here with a 9 mph wind, WC 3.6 degrees. Nice! Low was 15.0 about an hour ago.

Steve25
It's a bittersweet day. Sweet because it's freezing cold. Bitter because it's quite likely the final sub-freezing day until next winter
frd
Nasty out there, high Noon and just 24 degrees , very impressive with snow showers forming out to the far West more further North with a short term forecast about them from Mount Holly a little ago. Friday looks colder in the Northern parts with that snow potential. a mini mid-winter run here.

WVclimo
Still have 2 to 3 inches of snow cover that’s frozen pretty solid . Seventh day in a row which is great for March . Stayed below 30° yesterday for the high . Last four mornings here have had lows of 18, 16, 15 and 17.
Icefishingrocks
Just a trace of snow left here on some of the north facing hills in the perryville area.
wxdude64
Set a new record 'cool minimum' with high of 29.1 degrees here, old mark was 32.0 degrees from 2001.
ThePhotoGuy
Beautiful day at Assateague. The forecast didn't look that great (cloudy) but it turned out to be mostly sunny for hours. At sunset it turned cloudy. The car was reading 44-46 degrees but felt much warmer because of the sunshine.

RevWarReenactor
I am up in Warrensburg NY. Got about 4 inches last night on top of the foot they already have. A place where a real winter happens. I can't wait to move out of the MA. Raining down there?
