HoarfrostHubb
Well...off to drive home. Very disappointed to be stuck in the middle of my building with no way to see this event unfold. Hopefully big rigs are toppled all along Rte 2, roofs ripped off, and roads blocked by trees... (not)

CoastalWx
We've had our best gusts last 30 min. Head turners as it roars. I assume easily 50-55mph.

Lots of gusts in the 60s in spots, but the good stuff is the higher spots near the pike....aka MQE and ORH. Still, most guidance has max winds 3p-6pm. Tom12309
Somebody just went out and took the wheeled shelving unit that was wandering around the parking lot and put it back by the dumpsters on its side. They applauded some more.

Damage will be minimal compared to an equivalent event in the fall with so little foliage on the trees. Also more damage would occur on a NE or SE event since it's not the prevailing wind direction. Still, some decent power outages going on considering it's a northwesterly flow event.
ORH_wxman
52 knots at FIT. That's solid for that airport down in a pit.

KoalaBeer
Garbage can catastrophe out there. LWM peak gust is only 48mph so far but things seem to be winding down here. Not to shabby but I was expecting more. Not trying to downplay some of the higher gusts at ORH that were pretty impressive but I think my expectations are set high after Oct 29/30 2017 and the March 2018 paste job that rivaled the damage in the 2008 ice storm here. Really trying to find LWM data for the Oct event with no luck(any help much appreciated.) I think we would have had to gusted to 65-70 with the damage I had in my hood.
