In Newfoundland? You guys don’t get that warm much of the summer. That’s one brutal climate. That warm sector never will make it into SNE next week. We’ ll have a day or two of 50ish with sun and low dews to satisfy Tips sexually derived Nape fetish though.

Hes in ns. He wont sniff 60s and 70s. I always find it funny when he and leo discuss weather as if they live in the mid atlantic.

If I lived in Newfoundland I'd be worried but I don't. I think that's more than 50's but we'll see

I always considered those climates fairly similar . Aren’t they? I follow a guy on Twitter from Rocky Harbour, NF and he tweets pics of it snowing into June and temps in the 40’s all summer

Hell of a lot better than the rock. I was there for a visit and couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

12z NAM is a pretty good thump for the weekend

No it wasn’t a thump of snow. The 10:1 ratio “snow” maps are severely, grossly overdone. Real bad. It counts sleet as snow. Look at this, this is the actual snowmap: https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=namconus&region=neus&pkg=asnowd&runtime=2019030712&fh=84

Aside from an unseasonable cold snap they melt . They’re not nearly the same feel of Dec - Feb

Totally felt like mid winter. No way your run this morning below zero felt any different than mid Jan. Beautiful cake job here. Love the look especially for March 7th

That is what I’m talking about. That’s a horrible map, it’s including sleet as snow, grossly overdone and not even close. Those 10:1 ratio maps are junk. Here’s the real snow map: https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=namconus&region=neus&pkg=asnowd&runtime=2019030718&fh=84

Well under cover of darkness at 4:30 am it’s cold in Morch or Nov.. but that doesn’t have anything to do with snow. Morch snows just are different and have a different feel than winter snows. The high sun, the long days, the melting in sun even on cold days. It’s all different. Everyone here agrees

St. Johns is about 200 miles farther from the equator than Halifax, about the same distance as from your place to mine, and I'd guess their respective distances from the gulf stream are even greater.  Probably 8-10° F difference in winter temps, and St. Johns is one of the warmer spots on the Rock.
