BBasile
Only received 0.25" of rain on the storm. Just hit a high temp of 46. Looks like the wind forecast will hold, though. Seems the front is about to reach the State College area. Winds are S @ 5 knots ahead of the front and W @ 30 knots behind it.

Hurricane Agnes
Briefly hit a high of 45 about an hour ago but it's back down to 44. The front is still back near western PA so not sure if we end up with a non-diurnal temp surge overnight or we're done rising before the front comes through (the sun sets in a little under 20 minutes). Hurricane Agnes
Looks like it's on the CWA doorstep. Temp still slowly dropping. Down to 43. Interestingly enough, the sky started clearing and the sun was trying to come out just before it set.

Sandy was windy. Sounded like a constant freight train overhead. This is like a breezy mid summer afternoon. Seen much worse. Again.....sad that rain and wind are all we can track in Feb. On the plus side next winter can only be better right?

RedSky
Nothing beats high wind late at night when your sleeping and the mammoth tree comes crashing through the roof to impale you We do snow and wind at night i don't think we do anything right

CoolHandMike
Was expecting considerably more windiness given the "high wind warning". I guess maybe the second part might be a bit gusty, but so far this has been all hype. But who knows. Our electrical grid has been rock solid ever since I bought our generator last summer (of course), but maybe I'll actually get the chance to use it tomorrow. BBasile
Measured a 45 MPH gust at 2:29 AM. Wind is roaring now. A 10 minute average of 20 MPH with gusts consistently hitting the high 30's, low 40's. Gusts down the shore are around 60 MPH. Hype justified.
