For winds, guidance has been overdoing wind events all season.
Additionally, highest pressure rises behind the fropa are
expected to be across southern NJ. Therefore, while winds are
expected to be strong, am not confident enough to issue a high
wind watch at this time. Current thinking is a strong wind
advsy. Anticipating sustained winds between 25-35 mph with gusts
40-50mph, possibly 55mph with the strongest winds occurring on
Monday. Winds then gradually decrease Mon night.

High Wind Warning now in effect here from this afternoon thru tomorrow afternoon for gusts up to 60 mph. Looks like the stronger winds could come in 2 bursts, as the cold front passes through early this evening with gusts up to 55 mph then winds may slack off slightly but remain very strong overnight gusting to 45 mph then ramp back up Monday morning with gusts to 60 mph.

Very widespread wind threat and more impressive than usual. I think we'll see numerous 50-55 mph reports and several 60+ readings.

Blue wave do you know if those winds were forcast to gust higher or lower?  Wondering if the winds are verifying or if there over or under performing in that area.  Could give us an idea if they will meet warning criteria here

1:32 PM: Kind of a weather geek moment, but we're watching what has the appearance of a #stingjet moving toward WNY. Highest wind gusts in OH are associated with this feature, which will move across WNY between ~3-6 PM. This will produce some of the highest wind gusts today.

2:12 PM: Port Colborne Ontario at 1:51 PM: Sustained wind 66 mph. Gust 79 mph...
