SouthBuffaloSteve
True front has not pushed through yet. Probably in next hour...Should rapidly go down hill from there... Huge lake drop in Toledo already taking place...Think NWS was a bit fast in their timing. They had winds picking up around noon and peaking at the worst from 2-6 ish. Most models were 2-4 hours slower with the worst winds not hitting until 4-8pm ish time frame. Not sure if the sunshine effect that was to enhance the mixing would be somewhat muted as we are now closer to sunset then midday? .
TugHillMatt
Mesos showing the typical suck lake effect event for this winter coming tonight. Models have looked good for so many events and then within 12 hours of the start of event it all of a sudden flips to the northern Tug getting hit, the skipping here...and then a narrow band to the south. Over and over....
CNY-LES FREAK
Looks like there may be a really nicely developed band off the SE end of the Lake so says the 3K

wolfie09
Rgem is a good hit for the entire county.. But with it being 10km it will stuggle with the finer details..

lakeeffectkid383
Winds are weak sauce in Hamburg right now. Maybe gusting to 50 or so, however I’m sure it’s stronger right on the lakeshore. I think this is gonna fall way short of expectations for most... which isn’t nessecarly a bad thing from a damage standpoint.

BuffaloWeather
Someone posted this on my fb. I agree fun winter this year. All in all, this is by far the worst winter, weather wise, that I’ve ever encountered. Freezing rain, or blizzards and whiteouts, sun zero wind chills, rain, hurricane winds .....It’s always freaking something! 2
wolfie09
Not so much of a cutter anymore on the euro, at least for this run.. Verbatim would be close to 1/2' front end thump-light rain-wrap around snow..

First time I’ve seen that for winds Seiche is going to end up a bit weak sauce in the end. Wont rival the over 11 ft event from jan 2008. Its leveling off now. The wind shift speed change wasnt abrupt and violent enough to be ideal.
