rochesterdave
EPS picking up on heavier moisture NW and enhancement. This is far from a done deal. This, of course, is 10:1, so add a bit.
wolfie09
First and last time u will ever see me in the "bullseye", may need to take a screenshot..lol But in all seriousness LES potential looks decent from afar.. Ksyr could make a run at kbuf next week if they can get some wnw/nw flow behind the trough on wed..
CNY-LES FREAK
I mean we're 3 days out from this thing forming so I doubt we see any real huge jumps either way from here on in, but I can be very wrong, lol! Just like the last event, the FV3 had the track nailed from 6 days out and never wavered, don't know if it will do the same with this one but either way, I think we see a plowable snowfall. However it did horrific with the qpf output and thats its biggest problem but its seems to do well with tracks of cyclones. After yesterdays 8" event and 2 days earlier, the 21" over-performer LE event and if I get another 1ft or even 10", I'm not greedy, lol, I'll be at close to 40" for week, a 1/3rd of my total avg lol! CNY-LES FREAK
By jumps I mean 100-200 mile jogs, lol, but I's imagine 50-75 mile jogs from here on out.
wolfie09
It may shit the bed but this is probably the last chance at a decent Lake event..I think we start to warm up towards the middle of the month..
CNY-LES FREAK
I think we're lucky this thing doesn't fully phase with the Northern Stream cause if it did it would cut, definitely, as you can see here, the Euro keeps both pieces of energy separated. GFS same thing but if in the next few runs it happens to phase some more, don't be surprised if we see this thing come much further NW than its being advertised. The energy is still in the sparse data region of the Pacific so we'll see in the next day or so. The energy reaches the Pacific Coast Sat 12Z
CNY-LES FREAK
Enjoy all this wild wintry weather while it lasts cause its gone by the middle of the month and I will welcome Spring with open arms!
CNY-LES FREAK
I still think we see a spring snowstorm this yr as they are common in El Nino's, so we'll see but the warmth is coming and can not be stopped, lol!
CNY-LES FREAK
If we don't get some kind of partial phase or some interaction with the northern branch, we're toast, as I just got done looking at the 18Z data and I won't even consider a 84hr NAM prog so.... 2-4" non-event so I hope I'm wrong

rochesterdave
One concern I have is if Saturday’s S NEngland event blows up, it will flatten the flow for Monday. We want a non event Saturday.

Better south and east of course in this set up - but it’s solid. 18z EPS seriously amped as well. 1
