Is it the dry air winning? It's the orientation of the precip field. PSU explained it well a couple of days ago. It's not a n-s orientation but rather w to e. Look at the radar to our west. We are going to do great here very soon.

MetalCapsFan
Just saw the first flurries here in Remington neighborhood 3 miles north of downtown B'more. I'm at about 150 feet elevation about a 1/4 mile to the east of I-83, humidity and dew point have been creeping up the last hour or so. So, now we see if anything will actually stick to the roads. It's coming Charm City peeps!

WVclimo
Best rates/ lowest visibility of this winter right now. Temp still dropping, down to 27. ETA: house across the street is about 350' from my front door and is barely visible at the moment.
PrinceFrederickWx
Had heavier snows earlier but its slowing down now and were losing the temp battle (currently 33 degrees). Never accumulated on streets or sidewalks, they're still wet. Probably less than an inch on the ground.

Now will have to race to hope we accumulate well before sleetfest. It’s a late start for us up this way though in a race against time setup.
