Most of the local WU stations are showing a southerly component to the wind now but it is all over the dial including some NW. The roads are a mess . Pre-treating is a waste unless you have a light snow with borderline temps or light zr. Moderate snow or sleet and it was literally money down the drain. Morning commute was fine. Close to an inch here- it was always light or moderate and we even went back to snow for a bit around 3 PM. Started at 8:30 flipped to sleet around 11 AM and back to snow at 3 PM and then to freezing rain at 4 PM. We already had a coating from the day before. wdrag Posted February 13, 2019 Author Share Posted February 13, 2019 Ditto on fine snow here in Wantage. 2.4 at 720P and 20.8F. the snow means that that there is possibly only a shallow saturated layer of rh with lift in the -8C range causing the fine snow.
