As I’ve said before, I’ve seen this movie before. I would be absolutely shocked if there are 2 inches of snow on the ground before the sleet begins. I’m thinking that on Long Island that the transition to rain is almost immediate. Tuesday night there will be talk of a “warm layer” that wasn’t modeled and also the ”ocean influence” on the eastern winds. Tmw will be miserable, I just don’t think it will be snowy

Given that the 850 warming is basically south to north with this, it's possible the north shore of LI does better than the city since I think latitude will matter more than longitude with this setup. Thats just not true also. The fact is most people are going to see snow, sleet/freezing rain and then rain. It depends where you live on this forum that will determine just how much you will get. Nobody is saying this is going to be a blizzard but there will be snow regardless if it is going to be washed away. The City is forecast to get 3 inches and my area in HV is forecast to get 6. Should people not talk about that? I know everyone on here loves the snow. I used to love snow as much as anyone. Now things are different. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy this site, the people who post or their forecasts. Im definitely anti snow now. No argument from me. And I do enjoy a good snowstorm, prefer weekend storms though. I don’t think this storm is going to deliver though. I’ve lived through countless storms like these on Long Island. Rain seems to win these scenarios
