No doubt. The sleet band has been training over my location for most of that loop, which I'll gladly take over cold rain....(No offense Cold Rain)

FallsLake
I'm in some kind of winter purgatory. Keeps trying to go to snow but then switches back to sleet.
FallsLake
Well I have to sign off for the night. Still have the reality of a job tomorrow. Maybe this thing continues to overachieve overnight. Down to 33.1 degrees.
DC2Winston
Looking at CC on doppler, first time I ever remember being south of the west to east oriented sleet line...and its snow falling. Back and forth snow/sleet but super interesting. Using KFCX site and location is downtown Winston-Salem.

kvegas-wx
Everything covered and white on the security cams in Stuart Va. Meltage here in Kernersville. Only shot for accums here will be under heavy bands or ZR in the morning. Yuk!

WSchew
Radar is drying out a bit upstream and looking less hectic overall. This should end any snow/sleet in the triad as the moisture becomes more shallow.

FLweather
Got to admit. Not a true SE Winter storm from the get go via models. Has proved not to be. But damn the radar is impressive tonight. Precip shield from SD to CO to TX, LA MS to NC, VA. That's alot of distance.

FallsLake
Still had some residue sleet/snow on the porch and cars this morning. Temp was right at freezing but nothing was falling. It was fun being under those heavy bands last night. At one point, I was 50/50 sleet/snow with big flakes.
FallsLake
Might still get a little freezing rain this morning for the northern Triangle folks and to the north/west. Radar is filling in some and temps are near/at/or slight below freezing. RDU is at 33 with a dew point of 30. Wouldn't amount to much but again it's interesting.
