SouthBuffaloSteve
Couple shots from along Caz in West Seneca. Minor flooding along Seneca Street. Tonight should be interesting as the ice sheet in South Buffalo has not yet moved and it appears there is now a lot of ice and water heading down stream. .
DeltaT13
Salvaged a couple really decent days at whiteface. Today was complete mashed potato snow with crazy visibility issues at times but it all added to the experience. Warm temps and steeps runs. I also managed to somehow get on the whiteface Facebook page today. I had no idea this picture was taken. Haha!
Ottawa Blizzard
Have to wonder if this warm-up will be remembered in a similar way to that of mid February 1994. It was followed by a big storm on the 23rd.

Is she going to Roswell Park, you can’t do much better than that? I’ve always had a weight problem. In my 20s I was up to about 250 lbs. I started doing aerobics during the aerobics craze in the 80s and loved it and within 6 months I lost 60 lbs. I kept exercising through my 30s. Unfortunately as I got into middle age I got lazy and put weight back on. Now I’m paying for it with Type 2 diabetes and heart issues. I would love to at least start walking but as I said I have a really bad knee so I’m going to need to fix that first. 4 hours ago, Thinksnow18 said: Tough news BW. As a green card carrying member of Roswell I can say first hand she's in great hands and is at the forefront of cancer research and treatment. Prayers to her and your family. Thanks guys, we will find out the severity of it within the next few weeks and agree Roswell is one of if not the best cancer facility in the country. CNY- Lower your calories and increase your exercise slowly and you'll lose weight no problem. It was more of a lifestyle change for me. Once my body got used to it, it became second nature. I always go to the dacks in summer to camp. I haven't skied or boarded this year yet. I hope to get some runs in later in Feb and March before I head to Florida. Have a good friend who’s wife just completed months of treatments for stage 4 ovarian cancer at Roswell and she is now cancer free and doing well overall. The key to it all is to stay positive even when it’s almost impossible to. Even when things looked grim my friend was always positive and said he and his wife were gonna kick cancers ass no matter what and he didn’t care what the statistics showed.I’ll be praying for your mom and sending lots of positive vibes no doubt!

SouthBuffaloSteve
Some pretty hefty flooding in West Seneca today on both Caz and Buffalo Creeks. Possible record crest on Buffalo Creek. The gauge hasn’t reported in 4 hours so it’s either damaged or washed away. Many homes were evacuated around Union and Indian Church area. Ouch who would leave a car like that parked there? Caz Creek spent most of the day jammed up in West Seneca from the high school back to Southgate Plaza. Minor flooding was seen along Seneca St and at the Soccer Park. The ice broke and next jammed up under the I90 overpass where it flooded a local gym destroying dozens of vehicles. The water was seen getting all the way up and onto Seneca St at the Harlem intersection... The jam slid a little further and is now locked up in Caz Park. It’s really starting to fill up the flood controls in the park quickly. Need some day light these night pictures stink! .

CNY_WX
I can’t tell from the maps available to me on TT but the Euro looks promising for next week. It shows a primary in the Ohio valley transferring to a secondary over the Delmarva on Tuesday. The secondary takes 24 hours to move to just east of Boston. Do we get shafted between the 2 lows? Thinksnow18
Call me an optimist but I'm riding the Euro for next week's storm...not the clown map Kuchera totals but because it sniffed out the warmer solution for tomorrow and Thursdays storm being more wet and warm earlier than the GOOFUS did. I think when it gets closer say 48 hours from now we'll be tracking another snow event next week.

wolfie09
Verbatim the euro is a warning criteria event with a region wide 6"-10" with a little more east of ontario due to enhancement, at 10-1..

wolfie09
Gfs looks a little wierd with this 2 low structure.. It's really not that far off from the euro..If that HP was located bettter like the euro it would be forced to pop a secondary sooner.. Some places still see 4"-6" on the gfs before flipping.. wolfie09
This will have a significant impact on the Buffalo and Rochester metro areas, where a tenth to a quarter inch of ice is expected during the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will only be in the mid 20s when freezing rain starts, and will only gradually rise during the day, struggling to rise above freezing by sunset. Significant icing is also expected across the North Country, where precipitation may start off as a brief period of sleet.

CNY-LES FREAK
Yes it is! I'm so effin sick of seeing rain forecasted for the area as well as that has been the dominant precip type this Winter so far, lol!Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
CNY-WXFREAK
We all better believe the 1" of liquid forecasted for the area for rain the next 2 days will definitively come to fruition but when snow is forecasted, we always have to sweat the track and profiles, every friggen time!
