USCAPEWEATHERAF
Nowhere near half our normal amount, total snowfall to date: 1.83" of snow, still beats the worst winter in my lifetime, 97-98 Strong EL Nino

moneypitmike
Snowy week in store per GFS. Southern zones would likely be less given tainting from the Pike S.

Im hoping the mid range Euro fold to the GFS for the Sun/Mon gig bodes well for the Mid Week storm. Id love to buy a little of what the GFS is selling

ORH_wxman
Midweek has potential but I'm selling at the moment. At least selling the idea of anything more than a couple inches of snow/taint. I want to see that shortwave make more progress east before it drives north up the northwest slope of the ridge. It's too far west right now, which keeps the best dynamics southwest and things shred out as they head into New England.
HoarfrostHubb
At least the ski areas will benefit from people seeing a little snow in their back yards this week. The last 2 President’s Day weeks had temps of 60-80F in SNE. We melted

jbenedet
I still like the the midweek threat. Upper level trough that dips into the eastern Pacific is usually a recipe for plenty of moisture in the northeast. Weak disturbance perhaps; but certainly not moisture starved... dendrite
It may have a similar fate as this one...s/w kicks out of the SW and grts squeezed and stretched as the SE ridge goes bonkers and flexes back northwestward. It’s pretty early still, but the GFS has the mid level fronto a little more northward with that one. That SE ridge has meant business though...lots of potent s/w’s keep diving into that persistent west coast trough to recarve it out and the heights in the SE respond accordingly.
