For impacts, mainly looking at significant to dangerous travel conditions CWA-wide late tonight through Sunday morning. This will be because of 1-2"/hr snowfall rates and wind chills of 10 to 20 below, especially across northern sections. Blowing and drifting will also increase on Sunday morning. Travel is generally not advised due to the dangerous cold and poor road conditions/low visibility overnight into Sunday morning.

The btv discussion put it in perspective nicely - it’s a keeper For the first time ever , I came to work tonight fully expecting not to go home in the morning, and crash here. Packed extra clothes and food. As have many others. This will be an experience.

I took a gamble on that area of slight enhancement in ne MA....betting on mid levels holding long enough to avail of good LLV coastal frontogensis. Also, the mid level center will be re congealing further south east over down east ME, as it phases....so that should retard mid peel warm advection over ne areas, and perhaps assist snowfall banding late.
