Connecticut Appleman
Is this one of those times where elevation will help to get you above freezing or is the cold layer thick enough that 1000 feet will still be in the cold surface flow? Saw this all the time living in the CTRV - all the trees bent with ice at home and then drive up the hill into Tolland and it was well above freezing. We are advecting lower dews and cold air in and CAA happens much better at elevation. I’ve seen some posts about north drain , but this isn’t in situ CAD. This has a lot of similarities to the big 2008 icestorm .
