New feeder band setting up right over me! It’s puking outside once again! I can’t wait to see the totals at KBUF they are dead center under that band!

Looks like the feeder band might be trying to turn into the main band, right over top us! Hopefully it widens out a bit because close to the lakeshore doesn't look that great

Clarence looks like jackpot. KBUF is in good spot but rates aren’t as high there.

We have had about four inches in NE Buffalo. One quick burst of heavy snow and a couple hours of moderate snow under the band. Rates are way lower here than further east.

Band is struggling that’s for sure lost whatever extra juice it had with that last wave passing through. But what it’s losing in intensity it’s making up for in that steady state lock. I’m mean we’re closing in on 5 hours now with almost no north/south movement. Been a long time since we had one lock in like this.

How much are you up to? I'm at about 5" since last night.

Just measured at 9.  Another 3.8”.  Puts my storm total at 6.5”.  Snow on the ground stands at 6.9”.

Just when I say it looks like it’s losing intensity I’m outside and it’s on and off downpours of flakes.  Keeps going at 1”/hr like this for another few hours I’ll be happy with it.  Wind and cold are a big component too.  I’d say this is the best lake effect storm for me here in SB since Nov 2014.

Looks like it has set up with a northern extent from South Buffalo to the airport to Clarence Center, so the bulk of the northtowns were limited to transient bands. It’s nice to get something, but a 5” lake effect event isn’t an LES drought buster. I was hoping we would finally get a big northtowns hit, but no such luck, it seems.

The original system for early week is pretty much a non event now on the euro, it's all about the system to the south..

Interestingly enough the NWS doesn't even mention this potential..

As for ptype, that seems to be trending
toward the warmer end of the spectrum at least for the early
Tuesday period. A track to our northwest is now favored by all
large scale guidance, which would allow for a brief warmup and
accompanying period of possible mixed precipitation or even rain
late Monday night into Tuesday.

Up to 12.6 for the day...that includes the 6" this early morning...still snowing but between 1/2" to 1" hour snows. Can't complain...oh and Buff weather...channel 4 needs to do something about its models...it shows at 10pm the band placement not over the metro at all and in the southtowns...obviously that is very wrong just by radar alone.

Winds are shifting just a bit from 220 to 230. Could be why were seeing some increase in the intensity again as it’s gaining a little better lake fetch again. Man if the NWS hits that 11 pm south shift call they get some kudos... they called this thing pretty darn well so far. Especially since every local channel blew the forecast.
