eyewall
These are shots I took on 1/14 in the vicinity of Hanging Rock in Stokes County NC. Remaining ice accumulations were pretty impressive and probably over an inch higher up. This was after a day or so melting had already occurred. There was no shortage of tree damage and branches were still breaking when I took these (Note: they are facebook resolution)
calculus1
Beautiful pictures, as always, Eyewall. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. I was on that tower back during the warmer months of 2018. I had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, but it didn't feature any ice. That house is on Hooker Farm Road between Moore’s Wall and Tory’s Den Cave. It’s a pretty new house. I own 18 acres in Stokes for a future house and I’m in that area all the time. I like getting away from the city slickers.

It is an awesome area out there and I was amazed at the amount of ice a full day after.
