Steady light-to-moderate snow. Nice way to refill our winter tankards. Cars cringing a bit but streets and sidewalks are saying "what cave, hoss?"

As the kids might say, "Eye-spy an outperformer." And by that I mean anything more than an 1".

1.5" would get me to 15" for the season. Probably more than I've had the last two winters collectively. (I don't really keep track during winters that turn turtle.)

This weekend looks doesn't look like much in terms of aggregate numbers, but Sunday could be one bumpy ride (to paraphrase Bette Davis, who was just cool as ****.). Heavy rain, some snow to round it off (maybe a legitimate amount), powerful winds and temperatures plummeting in a way that makes Victoria Falls look like a drip in a bathtub.

I’d eyeball about 0.5”. Will go measure on the snowboard when it stops.

It certainly is pretty when old snow gets a fresh Crest whitening strip laid upon it. That said, only cars in my neighborhood have caved so far.  Roads and sidewalks hanging tough in the flurries. Kids are yelling at me. I promised at least a delay. Told them to get over it and get used to future snow disappointments.
