Not impossible I guess - there as a lot of spread with the EPS along the track.

dryslot
Got to keep an eye on that follow up wave along that front as it slows down, That one looks more amped as well.

Greg
That's a double barreled Low pressure for the Jan 20-21. Second wave behind could produce more snow than the first wave but who knows this far out with a 18 GFS. Still like the heavy ice idea though. CT Rain
Would probably be a nasty flash freeze on the GFS What was the good one... March 03?

That would be a disaster for anyone who creeps above freezing. Though I'm doubting your hood would ever make it above freezing to begin with on that. GFS has this rounded low on the front nose of it into Arctic air and we know it won't look like that. Prob see a sharp low reflection nosing out below the Arctic dome instead of a broad rounded front.

These things many times lead to ennui as Ray would say, unless you have an ice fetish. Id love to be in CNE and NNE at this stage. We shall see. Maybe we can pull a 2014 when everything went SE, but my gut is no.

weathafella
Weird solution. Big thump of snow to sleet to rain back to sleet back to heavy snow. I’d take it but I’m skeptical

What are these positive depth change maps? They make no sense with the model run. Like 18-30" in NNE? Where is the GFS even close to that.
