Latest HRRR says .2 qpf left for DC proper and .3 over Bob's way over the next 4 hours. Looks great to me?
EastCoast NPZ
Picked up another 1.5 this afternoon. 6.6" on my table, lost a couple tenths to compaction.

Nope... it's a nova/moco/dc crush job. Pushing .40 by 10pm in places. I'm skeptical of radar extrapolated models with upper level stuff. This stuff is prob going to lose dynamics/lift and lighten up in place. Right now is crazy though.

Woodbridge02
SN in Woodbridge, cleared roads are becoming snow covered again. If I believe the HRRR I'll get another 2-3" but even if I don't this has been a great storm.

I'm over 8" now and 9" is becoming more likely every time i look at radar. I'm sitting in the dark greens right now with the yellow band literally a couple of miles away at most and backing into me and it's not snowing above a light snow shower. Not sure what gives. Sparky
I'm in a pretty good band now. Best rates I have seen since around midnight. Should put me over 5".
snowmagnet
Had about 5” before noon, now 7”. I’m hoping for 8”, but would have loved 12”. In Fairfax Co. just west of Fairfax City. Just enjoying the fact that it’s still snowing.
terpsnation
What a great storm for the D.C. area. Just got back from a 2.5 hour walk around Arlington - beautiful out there. Now back home with a beer in my hand and They Shall Not Grow Old on the TV. What an awesome day.

Not sure what gives. I think the snow detected by the radar is > 500 m above the ground, so with the N wind, it has moved several km south by the time it reaches the ground. I noticed this as the band approached me in North Laurel, where the precip didn't become all that intense until the center of the band was above me.
