Stormpc
Tapering off eastern PW and Fairfax. Losing lift maybe?? Pivot in full effect, stuck at 7.25 in. About 6.2 otg. Another 1/4 inch will get me to double digits for the season. Not completely in the screw zone, but as usual, on the lower end of the scale. Measured 9 inches as we wind down. Not too shabby. Never mixed here. Guess rt 28 was the dividing line for PWC
09-10 analogy
9" in upper NW. I'm sure there's been some compaction, so more than that has probably fallen. Doesn't really matter; it's a dynamite storm. Just walked over to Whole Foods. Moderate to occasionally heavy snow there and back. DC and environs are rolling all 6's with this one. NorthArlington101
It’s been snowing in Charlottesville for the past hour or so. Almost 30 hours of constant wintertime precip, just not that heavy.

Could be. If you take a single measurement at the end of the storm it will be lower than the total accumulated snow. You’ll actually be measuring snow depth instead. Grothar of Herndon
10.5" and still moderate steady snow falling. It is really coming down. I had to run an errand and the roads are a show. If you go out be careful.

ThePhotoGuy
Awesome afternoon/evening. About 30-40 minutes before "sunset" you could see brightening in the sky to the North (BC/BCo) direction. Then snow started to pick up. Accumulating snow began at about 445. Roads are completely covered. Started to get heavy about 45 minutes ago. Hardest since this morning. Big flakes too.
