Bob Chill
The icing would be for the big moco-hoco deathband to hold together and rotate through DC as the pivot completes. My guess is no but every conservative guess i've made has been wrong

As so many others have been saying, this is just the beginning of a potentially epic period of deep winter. Glad you were able to experience this, even if it was mostly from inside.
Stormpc
Tapering off eastern PW and Fairfax. Losing lift maybe?? Pivot in full effect, stuck at 7.25 in. About 6.2 otg. Another 1/4 inch will get me to double digits for the season. Not completely in the screw zone, but as usual, on the lower end of the scale. 09-10 analogy
9" in upper NW. I'm sure there's been some compaction, so more than that has probably fallen. Doesn't really matter; it's a dynamite storm. Just walked over to Whole Foods. Moderate to occasionally heavy snow there and back. DC and environs are rolling all 6's with this one. Could be. If you take a single measurement at the end of the storm it will be lower than the total accumulated snow. You’ll actually be measuring snow depth instead.
