ILX adds another county to the WSW. Judging by the recent HRRR runs, they will have to add the last two northern counties also...

Was this gap forecasted, or did it totally come out of nowhere ?

I was wondering the same, the axis has moved north of I-70 in Indiana & Ohio looking like for the rest of the day and I think it was supposed to stay south of it.  Anyone know if that massive dry slot over KY and southern IN/OH is going to fill back in?  BTW - Just under 2" so far IMBY on the SE side of Dayton.

Any chance at lake enhancement for NE Illinois around the lake?  Looks to be a typical setup for that.

There could be a little, but the thermodynamic setup is marginal so we are talking about a minimal contribution at best.

Up to 4.7". Frustrating to see that heavy band from Pontiac to the Quad Cities sit 5 miles to my south, but we're still way higher than expectations. We probably end up in the 6-8" range, and leaning toward the higher end of that.
Did you report to my office (LOT) with that total? Really impressive for this early in event.

I'll report it to DVN (I'm in Putnam County). Had some areas up to 5.5" but the approximate median from measuring many spots was 4.7".
