MD Snow
18z ICON seems pretty much the same. Get's precip in by 114 and still snowing at 120. Waiting on h5 hrs to load.

Maybe a little less extensive on the northern precip shield through 108 compared to 12z. Waiting for h5 hrs to load on TT. Yeah but after that the confluence in the NE is more relaxed this run. Precip shield notably bigger and farther north at 120 hours than the 12z.
snowmagnet
Just read CWG article explaining that the GFS is running poorly due to the shutdown. Hmmm....

So you’re saying because of the shutdown a computer model is showing snow for my area that may never materialize? Sounds a lot like the pre shutdown computer models lol
Amped
Luckily there are plenty of other models that don't come from dysfunctional countries.

I use it for fantasy snow therapy but i wouldn’t bet national security on a 120 hour GFS map. And I’m pretty sure our security people have access to the Euro during the shutdown. LP08
Gfs looks to have made a move towards the euro with the southern CA SS stretching out our storm.
MD Snow
SLP is weaker on the GFS and further south through 120. 1047 HP is further south. Was 1044 at 12z and not pressing as much.

MD Snow
GFS is plenty juiced. Honestly feel like this run is more realistic given that ginormous HPC to the north.
