...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation this evening will change to all snow
  by daybreak Wednesday. Snow will be moderate to heavy at times
  Wednesday and Wednesday night before tapering off Thursday.
  Total snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches and ice
  accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, northwest and southern
  Vermont and northern New York.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult especially
  during the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Isolated
  power outages possible due to heavy wet snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.

They went 8-14...what were they going with prior that they didn’t upgrade earlier .

 

its that the models really bumped back up last 12-18 hrs bc they are talking widespread amounts like that not spine

That low looks to drop some serious MB's in a few hours time so yeah, I expect some thunder some where with this.
