Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain

We all have sorrow

But if we are wise

We know that there’s always tomorrow

I told you not to give in, that pain would be the only result. NC doesn't receive snow anymore. It can only snow a little bit every 4 years now. Climate change will have us all memorizing the lyrics to Lean on Me.

Another snowless winter.. every snow drought record is shattered.

Went to Boone today to actually see it snow. 10/10, totally recommend just traveling to see it snow instead of waiting endlessly. It’s been 6 years since I’ve seen snow like that in High Point.

Awesome! Lived in Boone for three years while at app ! Best three years ever!

I saw some videos of the roads around the area. Looked rough.

No wonder sites like this are dying. Share an opinion, get bashed for being wrong, do not explain or highlight why I am wrong, rinse, and repeat. New users will continue dropping because those who can explain do not wish to share. It has changed a lot over the years.

Why haven't you given the reason you have the opinion you do? Do you even have a reason? If you don't know, then why would you say anything about what the map shows?

You do not exhibit an attitude in your online persona that appears to want to learn. You have made strong statements against what many others are posting. You are defiant when called out about it. You called out one of the most respected mets in the SE subforum, @msuwx. This is why many are upset at you in the main forum. Exhibit a bit more humility, and I imagine the response would be different.

Also, I see no evidence that this site is dying, and I continue to enjoy posting and learning here. I am grateful for this online weather community, as many others are too.

Sadly I have to agree that if this subforum isn't exactly dying it definitely appears to be in the decline.  It is my perception that there is much less general discussion here.  I have seen weenies even mention a general decline in the MA thread as well.  One particular poster there opined that sites like this are being edged out by twitter (I mean X)/snapchat/Instagram type communication.

I will say that part of it is probably been the absolute dreg of a base state we have been in most of the last decade.  A lot of people have just given up.

Euro has a nice band over NE NC/SE VA as the SLP starts to deepen off of NC. Something to watch, as it could lead to some higher totals in that area. You can see a reflection aloft at 850mb developing offshore NC on the Euro. This will likely enhance totals in that band due to some moisture advection/lift/dendrite growth. Not sure it would qualify to be declared a "deformation zone" but an area of enhancement.

It wouldn't be a classic NC storm if we didn't screwed to the West AND the East.
