CPcantmeasuresnow
Bottomed out at -1.2° Current temperature -0.6° Nice to have everything snow covered, it actually looks and feels like winter. Amazing it took this long to best November 23rd's 4.8° for the seasons low so far.

CPcantmeasuresnow
Hey Uncle, Can you post a list sometime today of the low temperature in Central Park each season. It seems to me that with this mornings low of 4 NYC has had a pretty good run of years that have seen a minimum of 5° or lower as opposed to the 1990's when other than 93/94 and 95/96 I hardly remember any. Temps in the city are between 2-6 right now wind chill advisory is definitely warranted
SnowGoose69
850s were about 2-3 degrees too warm otherwise NYC gets to zero. I felt a few days ago there was a shot because of the snow cover that would be present to the northwest. As it turned out similar to February 2016 models were way off 48 hours out on low temps. The whole area is under one except ne nj, nyc and LI yet wind chill values are pretty similar to areas with an advisory

Plenty of room for error this week. Darker green is greater than 30% chance of 2+" snow. Please note the southern extent (north Georgia) which I think has a decent chance of working, especially southern Apps. Also fi there is 30% chi of verifying an event, that means there's a 70% chance of not. I wont be commenting often or at all, unless I see a phaser off DE. I will say that a lot of "bad" winters don't have any subzero lows, so a minor point in this season's favor.

Unc. You speak truth and wisdom. I had to watch the two, 8 and 4 year old, boys alone when the the grand daughter was born last week. After that experience I think if I was young again I would take myself to the Vet to get fixed. Well gently fixed. I hope there’s a way for someone with your skills to get paid by energy traders or whatnot in a consulting capacity. Oh you young 'uns. We used to wait with great anticipation for Walt's AFD's out of BOX when a winter storm was in the works. The forecast was the forecast, but the info and insight in those ADF's was priceless. I had to watch the two, 8 and 4 year old, boys alone when the the grand daughter was born last week. After that experience I think if I was young again I would take myself to the Vet to get fixed. Well gently fixed. I have the utmost respect for all Moms and Grandmoms and the Mr. Rogers type Dads and Granddads. As always.... As always ....... Yeah well I work in a job where a few days a week some elementary kid throws a fit and tears up a classroom and so they call me to help. I'm supposed to talk the kid down. Doesn't work, and I wind up chasing the kid around the building for hours waiting for his parents to come get him. Which means my actual work doesn't get done. When I retire I do not want to work with kids, I need a break. A nursing home would be ok. Couple days a week.
