SnoSki14
If it weren't for Novie, then this winter would be right up there with 97/98, 01/02, and 11/12. It would take a tremendous amount of bad luck for us to get skunked the rest of the way.

Typhoon Tip
I would venture a guess with confidence that the 00z run will look entirely different ... but much more so than the usual expectation pattern/feature drift in those D6-10 range days. EastonSN+
Check out the GFS ENS mean posted in the MA forum. WOW. the MEAN is 10 to 12 in SNE for 1/16 through 1/21! With Nov. That would bring me to 50% yearly average.

I'm at home with 3 kids right now....I need something to track besides how many diapers I have left. Growing up in the mid Atlantic region, 12 seasons had less than 20 inches, 6 of those were less than 10". I'm only 35, so I am sort of used to it. However since I moved up here the lowest season was 38ish.

SnowGoose69
Other than the NAM the Euro is the only model showing that weak overrunning that far north from 84-96. Given that is outside the Euro’s ideal range it may not be reliable
