CNY-LES FREAK
Happy New Year all, and this may in fact be one of the warmest in recent memory but hopefully it'll turn around soon, and if by chance it doesn't, let's all root for an AN temp regime and the least snowiest of all time. At least we will have attained a pretty incredible record if us ask me but I doubt it happens but we'll see. CNY-LES FREAK
The cold air is comin for sure but to what extent remains the big question. I just hope the 2 streams can link up for a few good synoptic events as LES events are, quite frankly, inevitable!!Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
wolfie09
Let's see how this one turn out..As we have nothing else to follow at the moment lol
CNY-WXFREAK
Perhaps the 12Z GFS is finally catching on to some cold starting next week so we'll see.

daxx
It is starting to look like those of you east of Ontario will be on the right side of things for Winter precip. The boundary will be close by for awhile, so you don't want systems to amplify too much. Down the road some I think you all start cashing in. Down here we sit and wait. I'm still looking forward to my trip up there.
BGM Blizzard
Love mud season in January. It better come down hard and often from mid Jan on or this will be another epic dud similar to 2015-16 atleast around these parts. Crushed the all time record that year with only 26 inches against 83 inch average. I'll give it few more weeks for a turnaround to begin materializing before giving up and pulling for an early spring haha.
rochesterdave
Cranky is going pretty hard on a pattern shift in the next 2 weeks. That’s about all the positive I can find. The models are still abysmal. I really need Snow Ridge to see some snow in the next 3 weeks. Please!?!
Thinksnow18
I've tried to show the ECMWF that Judah Cohen tweeted out that shows a long lasting Greenland block starting next week. In fact he shows quite a few things that should get us all excited.

CNY-WXFREAK
I think we're in a good spot the next week or so before real Winter begins!
TugHillMatt
Still have a snow pack after these past couple thaws...pretty ugly though...with about a 70% coverage. But there is still white!

wolfie09
The GFS even shows it to a degree.. It will be more of wet snow, as u can see some green showing up.. Could be some precipitation intensity dependent snow/rain lower elevations.. Para loves this event lol
TugHillMatt
Seems like a general 3 to 6 inches across the Tug region for the Thursday system. All models seem to be in agreement.
wolfie09
Boy I love this model lol At least you don't have to shovel virtual snow.. Keeps the 9th storm mostly frozen.. The 0z GFS was snow-rain-snow for the Eastern L.Ontario region..
wolfie09
Cherish this while it last, which is about 11 hours lol Hp stays strong, all snow cny on north..

CNY-LES FREAK
This I believe is the next real event for the area besides the nuisance stuff tomorrow through Friday. Both the GFS and the EURO have it so we'll see what happens in 6hrs, cause the GFS will lose it for sure. For tonightSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
wolfie09
It was only a matter of time before the Nam delivered some goods..Ironically it was one of the drier models.. Sneaky potential for a moderate event..
CNY-WXFREAK
4th run in a row that the GFS brings the goods so perhaps its smelling this elusive pattern change that we are all craving!

wolfie09
Both GFS models bring the 9th system far north creating a mixed bag, probably about 100 miles north of the euro position..
