BuffaloWeather
Ratios will be 1:15-1:20 with those temps. Another storm hits a few days later on the Euro.

vortmax
Wonder how much the global models are picking up on LE for the south shore. ROC usually gets a few extra inches in cold NE flow setups like this - especially with a warmer than normal lake.

BuffaloWeather
EPS are pretty amped. Sleet into NH pretty easily this run. It's tracking the sfc low to the southeast still. But I'm sure there's a few cutters in that spread.

CNY-WXFREAK
If we taint a bit, so be it, as some of the most memorable events we experienced some type of mix in there somewhere but if it doesn't, even better, but either way we're going to see snow and a lot of it the next few weeks to begin with! We tainted with the November system and we still ended up with double digit snows so bring the taint. The closer to the taint we are the heavier the snows
CNY-WXFREAK
Even the GGEM gives us close to a ft with ratios, so....
BuffaloWeather
This storm sets the boundary for the next which has a higher likelihood to cut then this one. We want this one to go a little farther south.

The Canadian might be on to something. We are still looking good. I’m gonna get some sick pleasure out of the NE forum meltdown. BuffaloWeather
Drove down to the lake. A thin layer of ice along the shoreline. Lake Erie at 35 degrees . It’s so beautiful living next to a large body of water. Sometimes we take it for granted. I could never live in Kansas or somewhere with no water. BuffaloWeather
Wolf I think it goes synoptic, lake effect, synoptic, lake effect and then a bunch of clippers with lake enhance/les. That’s the pattern for next 2-3 weeks. Doesn’t get much better around here.
wolfie09
Nothing like the "potential" for some accumulating snow with pops at 30.. A chance of snow showers before 5pm, then scattered flurries after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

TugHillMatt
We had an interesting weather phenomenon here this morning where it was so cold the moisture in the air was freezing, and creating snow/ice in sunny skies. Then, we had actual snow showers for an hour, then blue skies.
