Up to 0.47" of rain so far today - temp continues to rise as it will the rest of the night now at our high so far at 46.9 after our AM low of 29.3 - we might hit 60 by tomorrow AM as the south wind will continue to draw in the warmth....an AM T-storm is not out of the question

Storm total so far here is 1.60". 60F outside currently - seems like quite some time since its been this warm.

Would love to put the Wiggum Rule in effect but we are about 2 weeks early. Success rate now is only 50% at best but increases daily to 94% thru early January where it remains until Feb 7 give or take a couple of days. But who knows maybe we can muster some flakes within the next 5 days...guidance says maybe Sunday night early Monday morning. Like I said 50/50 chance this week going thru my 20 years of keeping logs on this. Also never knew JB had something similar based on t-storms. Curious now to see his stats and verification.

64f here btw. Feels like the holidays of yore.

As of 8 am, Atlantic City had received 1.28" rain. That brings 2018's total precipitation to 65.86". As a result, 2018 has surpassed 1948 when 68.50" precipitation was measured to become Atlantic City's wettest year on record.

Hi Don - Chester County PA (coop history 1894 to Present) also has set a wettest year record with our 1.96" with this storm so far we are up to 76.90" for the year eclipsing the old record year of 1996 with 75.12"

This has been a very impressive year for precipitation in the Southeast and Middle Atlantic region. Many records have been set.

The sun popped out here for about 1/2 hour. Again, very reminiscent of a tropical system -- deep blue skies overhead with dark storm clouds on the horizon in every direction. The clouds have since filled in; been sitting at 60F most of the day. The rain gauge is empty (there must be a crack or something) but the sump pumps are running non-stop.

It probably gave up and walked off the job!
