We have gotten blanked so much the last couple of years and it is such a crappy feeling so I hate it that our friends in the west, upstate and even the coastal plain haven’t gotten as much. If I could share the snow I would! Its all good! Happy to take my 2-3" with sleet on top. I get the feeling we'll be doing this a few more times this winter. If we could take this setup &storm a month from now, I think I'd be looking out the window to 12" or so....

If I could share the snow I would! Just popped in to see what's up. I know the southern 1/2 of NC is losing out to mix/rain but what's gone wrong in the upstate or mountains? They looked in prime spot to get crushed.

'Wasted' an inch of moisture waiting on the CAD to kick in, then had too much mixing. Climo was against us-take this setup in January, and we would be talking about this one for years.. The mountains are getting crushed but it seems like the upstate has not gotten as much as forecasted and I don’t think most of Charlotte did as well. I know that it happens and the weather is really hard to forecast but I still hate it. I was happy for my friends in the west and the east last year when we had the Wake County snow hole but it is a crummy feeling so I hate it for them. Not near as much this time but closing in on 8". I’ve seen your video several times. We were too far north in Surry County and didn’t get a flake. I know that must have been something to see We’re closing in on a foot and it’s still coming down real good. I’m 57 and I have never seen this much snow this early in the winter season. We did get 11 in in Dec 18th 2009.

superjames1992
Seems to be doing a little better than I expected in GSO. It will be interesting to see what the airport ends up reporting (close to where I used to live). I’d expect INT to do better than GSO, as well. It seems that the forecasted QPF has turned out to be fairly accurate. My OBS: 64/OV.
