There will be some sleet and freezing rain mix after lunch Sunday, but by then we should have a good amount of snow on the ground. Expand I'm just east of you in Valdese what you expect snow total wise before that happens? Also about a hour or so ago maybe around 3 had a heavy band come through did you have any sleet mix in with it? I could not tell if it was mixed in or if was just heavy snow and the wind. Expand I just woke up a little bit ago so I missed those heavy bands LOL. Right now it is snow moderately, but it is also snow. I expect another 5 or so inches before it changes over to sleet and freezing drizzle. Of course, if the warm nose pushes further north than expected, this could change. Amos83
Getting bigger flakes starting to mix in with th smaller ones. My guess is the sleet line is moving back closer to me now. It actually looks like the ice band could be light returns (which is ice), and when it get heavy again behind the band it goes back to snow. At least I'm hoping for that.
